Dead Block is a four-player game that you can play with friends locally. You and your friends go around the open areas trying to fend off the zombies that are trying to invade your location and as you’re trying to board-up the window or setting traps for the zombies to run into as they’re coming in the location; you’re actually looking around in the area for three pieces of musical instruments to finish the level. So basically you’re bashing objects around the areas to find a guitar, a guitar amplifier, and a drum set and once you have obtained all the three pieces needed, you have to play the instrument like the guitar hero rift at the end of the level to finish the game.
When you see the graphics in this game, you will notice that it has the same style as Team Fortress 2, just the way the characters look is that cartoonish 3D looking.
The gameplay isn’t that bad, there are quite a few fun elements in the game. Dead Block offers a good amount of items and power-ups which gives the players various ways to destroy the zombies. For example: you can board-up the window in so many different ways by setting up a trap to you can freeze them as they coming through the window, making them really easy to kill.
Dead Block is supposed to be a multiplayer game and is best played with four players right next to you because again, there is no online mode which I don’t know why… this game have a lot of potential and it would probably be decent if you could play with others online and with this game costing $9.99 on the PlayStation Network– I can’t really recommend it all too well, just because of that simple fact. Dead Block is a fun decent game with decent music that keeps you going but then again this game is meant for you to play with your friends at home but you don’t get too much out of it if you play all by yourself. So this title is a pass to me.
